To honor and pay tribute to Captain Robert Nelson . . . a man whose presence made a difference in the world . . . who touched those around him in countless ways . . . who had a way of making people feel important and who performed random acts of kindness on a daily basis. This kind and gentle giant of a man impacted many lives on many levels. His quiet and dignified manner, his generosity and goodness, loyalty, open heart and beautiful spirit made him unique. He loved his country and was proud to have served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He was a man of honor and the world has been a better place because of Bob Nelson’s presence in it. He is greatly missed but will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.  He has been laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
